TheSpider, Inc. is a San Francisco-based web design firm established in 1998.  We provide custom solutions for a broad range of clients, from non-profits to e-commerce to large companies.

Web Design
We custom build user interfaces to creatively and efficiently communicate our client's goals.  The firm's creative director, Jefferson, personally designs and/or oversees every composition that leaves the office.

Web Development
We are proficient in most web languages available, including both open source and proprietary technologies like .net, php, ruby, java, etc. On the front-end, we are experts in W3C Compliant XHTML, XML, CSS Layout, AJAX, Flash, Javascript Frameworks (JQuery, Prototype, etc.) -- plus many more.

Content Management System (CMS)
TheSpider, Inc. uses content management systems called SpiderCart® and SpiderEdit® to build projects quickly -- without the need to “reinvent the wheel”.  SpiderCart® is a complete, customizable e-commerce solution that minimizes overhead and maximizes functionality.  SpiderEdit® is a robust CMS (Content Management System) that supports simple web-based editing of pages, event calendars, blogs, photos and other content on your website.

Services and Support
We offer technical support during normal business hours (9 AM - 5 PM PST, Monday through Friday). We provide troubleshooting, fix bugs and offer a variety of maintenance contracts to serve our clients on a regular basis.

We offer hosting services through our long established partners, Awesome.net and AppliedI.net.
